New Spanx Swimwear!
We stopped by the Spanx lounge this week to see what's new with their line and were excited to see swimsuits. The obvious question here is why didn't they think of this sooner? Spanx took its super popular and effective body shaping tech to swimwear. We snappped the model wearing a bright flamingo tankini. She told us you can definitely feel it sucking you in; but it's not uncomfortable. She also stressed that the bottom does not ride up, even though she'd been walking around for hours. She's holding one of our favorites in the line, the Structured One Piece (also pictured below), and a bikini top.
The bikinis don't have any of the shapewear in them; but we love the ruffles on top and the one small ruffle around the bottom. Founder, Sara Blakely, grew up in Florida and is such a bikini girl herself she wanted to include them in her line.
We also loved the Bubble Skirt that's so versatile you could wear it as a cover up to the pool bar or shopping on Lincoln Road and look equally as put together. You can even wear it as a strapless top with a pair of white jeans.
Spanx swimwear is available on-line and in department stores such as Neimans, Nordstroms, Bloomies and Saks. Suits range from $186 to $224.
